Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Who are you and what is Fenders and Fins all about?
A. My name is Jon Carson, and I have been in the auto body business for 25 years. I started Fenders and Fins to focus on the older cars that I love. I have been involved in the old car hobby all my life and this is a true labor of love. I want to focus on the body and paint portion of restoration, with links to other vendors and businesses for other aspects of the restoration process. Our business will do insurance work gladly, and we are happy to repair modern cars as well. Our shop has a state of the art paint booth and full paint mixing ability to assist in color matching. We hope to be able able to help you with your project.
Q. How much do you charge to work on a car? Can you work with my insurance company?
A. We work with all insurance companies providing competitive estimates for work to be done. We provide free estimates at our location. For old car restoration work we charge hourly on a time and material basis. For more specific information on any of the above contact us.
Q. When can you work on my car?
A. We generally can take work fairly quickly, but it does need to be scheduled. Scheduling of a job is based on several factors including such things as the scope of the work and the size of the job, age of the vehicle, current work load and availability of parts.

A. We use Dupont basecoat clearcoat urethane paint.
